Hi, which Vega products are you wondering about?

Because Vega Whole Food Health Optimizer carries a natural health product designation you may have seen a warning on the container for pregnant or breastfeeding women. The regulations require us to put this standard warning on the label; its the same warning for all natural health products. Though we do not believe our product warrants a warning for pregnant or breastfeeding moms, we are simply complying with the regulations. There is nothing in Vega WFHO that one should be concerned about when breastfeeding or pregnant.

Vega Sport Optimizer is the only product that we recommend avoiding during pregnancy. With about 100 mg of caffeine, similar to a cup of coffee, you're still within the "allowable" limit but there are varying perspectives on how much caffeine is okay.

Hi Jill,

Thanks so much for the reply, insight, kind words and wishes.

The products I'm wondering about are:

WFHO
Shake & Go Smoothie
Whole Food Smoothie Infusion
Whole Food Energy Bars
Whole Food Vibrancy Bars

I also checked out the links to discussions to view other similar conversations. This was helpful.

FYI: I am currently taking "Rainbow Light" Prenatal One , Food-Based Multivitamin, Vegan Guard, daily at night after dinner/before bed.

To list a few of the supplement amounts:

Vit A: (as Palmitate 2,000 IU Beta-Carotene 2, 000 IU) - 4,000IU -- 50%
Vit D: (as D2 Ergocalciferol)--- 400IU---100%
Folic Acid: 800mcg -- 100%

Would WFHO interfere, especially, if I only use 1/2 the serving (1 scoop instead of recommended 2 scoops) in a smoothie with fruit, almond milk, h20, Oj?

Thanks again.

best ~

j.
